Site Settings

This page is here to help you get the best experience at our website. There are two things that need to be addressed:

A. The shopping cart on this website does make use of javascript cookies. We cannot and will not place anything above and beyond basic information to make our site more convienent for you. We use javascript cookies only on our shopping cart. If you experience some errors with the shopping cart, you may not have javascript cookies enabled in your browser.

B. This site was designed with the 800 x 600 screen setting in mind. If you are viewing this site with a screen setting less than this, you will notice that you have to scroll left and right to read everything we have online. If you would like to correct this problem and change your screen settings, follow the instructions below. Salt and Pepper is not responsible for any issues you may cause on your computer, but this change should be painless, and is no threat to your machine. These instructions have been tested on Windows 98, Me, and Windows 2000.

1. You should start this process at your desktop. Your desktop should be the first screen you see when you turn on your computer.

2. Right click anywhere in open space on the desktop and you see a menu. Left click on properties. Your menu may not be exactly the same as what is shown here, but there should always be a properties option for you to click. If you try to right click over the gray bar or over a link, you will not see this option. you must click in open space (the blue area in this picture) to get the needed menu.

3. The last tab setting at the top right indicates "Settings". Click this tab. You may or may not have some or all of these tabs in your settings, but there is almost always a "Settings" tab. If you do not have one, please do not procede with these instructions.

4. On the lower right of this tab is a horizontal bar. Left click and hold on the control tab and drag left or right until you see the numbers 800 by 600, then left click "Apply".

5. Your machine will ask you if you would like to keep these settings with a prompt. If the monitor looks ok at this point, click yes, otherwise click no. If your cant see anything at all, it's because your monitor cant handle the setting, Windows will automatically resort back to the old setting in 15 seconds automatically as long as you dont click any buttons. Almost all machines support this setting. If your machine is extremely old however, you may run into problems.

6. If everything looks good at this point, left click OK and you are ready to browse the Salt and Pepper website.
